What If You’re Missing the Part That Makes the Difference?
Watching your child develop as a golfer is exciting and rewarding. But in today’s junior golf landscape, talent alone isn’t enough. Success depends on smart decisions, well-timed opportunities, and understanding how to navigate a path that’s growing more competitive every year.
The most successful families take a proactive approach—leaving no stone unturned, investing in the right support, and making informed choices that give their kids a real edge. The greatest risk is overlooking key areas of development that others are already acting on—and not realizing it until it’s too late.

That’s Where I Come In
With 20 years of experience working with young people, I help families get ahead by identifying every meaningful facet of their child’s golf development, building a clear, customized plan, and providing the kind of guidance that turns potential into results. And when it’s time for college recruiting, I’ll walk you through that process with strategy and confidence.
What We’ll Do Together
Every player is different—but here are just some of the areas we might address:
- Skill Assessment: A clear picture of where your child stands—and what will unlock the next level of performance.
- Mental Coaching: Building composure, focus, confidence, and the ability to bounce back under pressure.
- Course Management: Learning how to think strategically, manage risk, and make smart decisions across 18 holes.
- Practice Structure: Replacing scattered habits with efficient, intentional practice that actually leads to improvement.
- Tournament Prep: Making smart choices about when and where to compete, and how to prepare to play your best.
- Equipment: Making sure your child’s tools match their needs—and connecting you with expert fitters if needed.
- Performance Analytics: Using post-tournament reflection and data to sharpen focus and build a roadmap forward.
- Team Collaboration: I work alongside swing coaches, trainers, and others to support the work already in place—or help you find the right people when needed.
- Elite Play-Alongs: Opportunities to join top-level amateurs and college players for hands-on learning experiences.
- Whole-Person Support: Helping your child succeed in golf and manage the other parts of life that matter—school, friendships, balance.
Please note that, in accordance with both the USGA's Rules of Amateur Status and my own areas of expertise, I do not provide swing instruction. If desired, I can help you identify professional instructors who can guide the technical elements of your game.
College Recruiting
I can guide you successfully through all aspects of college golf recruiting (and/or the standard college admissions process, if desired). My 15 years of college admissions advising experiences orients me to seek colleges that are comprehensive matches for your child's golf, personal, and academic goals—not just schools that are well known or highly ranked. As we identify best-fit schools and programs, we'll progress to contacting coaches, navigating the recruiting process, and ultimately securing your place in college golf.
My Philosophy
My philosophy is rooted in a whole-person approach that aims to shape not only skilled golfers but also healthy individuals. Here are the key principles that define my philosophy:
- Positive Advocacy: I am unwavering in my role as my junior golfers’ #1 advocate. My commitment is to be a constant source of positivity and support, even while pushing them to excel. I believe in building relationships based on trust and encouragement.
- Character and Self-Awareness: I emphasize personal development, self-reflection, and self-awareness as core qualities for junior golfers to cultivate. By understanding their own thoughts and emotions, they can navigate the ups and downs of both golf and life with resilience.
- Process Over Outcome: I place a strong emphasis on process goals rather than fixating solely on outcomes. The journey of development, proper execution of process, and continuous improvement take precedence. This approach fosters a healthy and sustainable approach to competition.
- Comprehensive Support: Beyond my own expertise, I utilize my extensive network of instructors, fitness professionals, equipment experts, academic consultants, and more to provide a comprehensive support system for my students.
- Encouraging—Not Rushing: I believe in fostering the development of junior golfers at a pace that allows for a deeper understanding of both the game and themselves. Young people grow when the opportunity to grow matches their readiness to do so, and I aim to impact both sides of this equation. As a part of helping them improve their golf skills—and recognizing that the college timeline is a vital one—I seek opportunities for both immediate and gradual progress.
- Enjoying the Journey: I firmly believe that golf should enhance one's life and bring joy. I’m dedicated to ensuring that my students enjoy the privilege of playing golf, viewing it as a positive part of life—not as a job, and not as its defining element. A positive relationship with the game enriches their overall quality of life.
